Ed NovikEd Novik, CLIPP

Ed Novik is the founder and president emeritus of Accurate Inspection Services, Inc., Louisville, CO.  Founded in 1995, Accurate Inspection Services is a full service residential and commercial building inspection and environmental assessment firm serving the Colorado Front Range.  Ed is also a former nationally recognized technical instructor for Kaplan Professional Schools, Inspection Training Associates and Jones Real Estate College, Denver and has taught residential building inspection, real estate continuing education and environmental-related courses and seminars in Denver and in other parts of the country. He has been engaged in course development work for these and other institutions as well.

Prior to entering the home inspection and environmental consulting field, Ed spent 15 years as a systems design engineer and prior to that, 10 years in residential construction. He is also a Vietnam-era U.S. Navy veteran having served as a shipboard weapons specialist and technician. He holds B.S. and M.S. science and engineering degrees from Colorado State and Arizona State Universities.

Now semi-retired, Ed is a certified retired member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). He is also a former Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant by the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC), and a former Certified Radon Measurement Provider and managed a radon Analytical Laboratory certified by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA).  He is also a former State of Colorado licensed asbestos inspector.

Ed lives with his beautiful wife of 43 years, Anna, in Louisville, Colorado.  They have three amazing children and four fantastic grandchildren, also all located in Colorado. When not trying to be semi-retired, Ed enjoys spending time with his family, and activities such as woodworking, hiking, traveling, snorkeling, and just about anything else outdoors.
